    Volunteer Guidelines

All meets take more than 50 volunteers to run the meet. Please consider what you would like to volunteer for this summer.

Remember all families must provide at least 1 volunteer for their swimmer to swim in a meet.

    Volunteer Requirements

    • Preseason each parent will be asked to choose THREE Volunteer jobs that they would be willing to perform during the season.
    • At least ONE of those 3 jobs MUST require SAIL certification either in class or online.
    • Families must also be available to help with clean-up during one home meet. Clean-up involves putting away all of the equipment used during the meet and returning the pool deck to its normal, recreational use.

    Meet Requirements

Check-In with the volunteer coordinator and obtain volunteer name badge. At home meets the volunteer table is set up inside the main pool entrance and generally near our team tent at away meets. Please return the lanyards by the end of the meet.

Volunteer Assignments can be viewed by the Job Signup button for the meet or on the Swimtopia app.

First half volunteers (working events 1 - 40) should be in position no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet.

First half tent parents need to report by 30 minutes before the start of the meet.

Second half volunteers should sign in before the meet and be ready to work anytime around event 38 as you take over at event 41. The starter will make announcements for second half volunteers when your start time is approaching.

Second half tent parents should check in with first half tent parents periodically as you begin working when you start calling swimmers for Event 41 which will happen 20 - 30 minutes BEFORE this event is in the water.
